My passion for travel started early. Growing up, my family was always on the go in our camper, road-tripping across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. We explored historic landmarks, national parks, beaches, and natural wonders. No matter where we went, it was always about quality family time, adventure, and fun. Later, I had the opportunity to travel abroad to destinations in Europe, India, South America, and the Caribbean, which deepened my love for discovering new places and cultures.

As a natural planner (and self-proclaimed perfectionist), I’ve always enjoyed organizing trips for friends and family — researching destinations, answering endless questions, and creating carefully planned itineraries. With my husband’s encouragement, I turned my passion for travel into a profession in 2016, when I joined Fairy Godmother Travel. Over the past 10 years, I’ve been truly honored to help hundreds of families, couples, and individuals make their travel dreams come true.

Whether it’s a family adventure, a romantic escape, or a bucket-list journey, I plan each vacation with the same care and attention to detail as if it were my own. My husband is a pastor and we’ve been married since 2008. We have three amazing kids who share our love of “taking trips.” I’m honored to not only be their mom, but their homeschool teacher as well. I’m beyond grateful for the flexibility to run my small business from home. Our family is completed with a huge, goofy goldendoodle named Finn. Life is never boring in the Shumate house!
